Private yoga and yoga therapy sessions allow you have a better awareness of your body, mind and overall health. As your teacher, my work is to tailor your practice to support your unique needs and goals.
I offer yoga instruction and yoga therapy programs. Unsure of the difference?
Yoga instruction offers a variety of techniques to learn and explore this ancient practice. Most people start out seeking a physical practice to improve their strength and flexibility. Some start seeking meditation for relaxation. Over time, you may be interested in breathing exercises or anatomical education. Regardless of where you start, you will discover that yoga has much to offer.
Yoga therapy is more specific. Yoga therapy is about you and your issues or conditions. Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices. As your yoga therapist, I investigate your health needs or symptoms and offer personalized solutions for supporting and/or mitigating them. Yoga Therapy serves as complimentary medicine to your current treatment plan.

After completing a client intake at your initial session and learning about your needs and goals, I apply objective and subjective assessments and then create an initial yoga plan. I will teach you tools and techniques to support you and your practice, as well as explain benefits, effects and any contraindications of my methods. As we continue to work together, I observe and track your progress and educate you throughout the process, so you are better informed of your body.
Your practice will be accessible, customized, and practical. I am committed to providing a focused and personal approach so you can feel safe, comfortable, and confident in your body and in your life.

Some people prefer in-person guidance, and some people prefer and feel more comfortable in their mind and body at home. (Or, schedules can be so busy that it’s challenging to squeeze one more thing into the day.) Therefore, I offer both in-person and virtual yoga instruction and yoga therapy. Virtual sessions are by Skype or Zoom.
